Imagine Gears of War 6 exploring the galaxy! According to Rod Fergusson, former head of The Coalition, the team once considered taking Gears 6 beyond Sera’s atmosphere. During an interview on IGN’s Podcast Unlocked, Fergusson—now with the Diablo series—shared that his vision for Gears 6 involved venturing off Sera to see how the Gears universe might interact with other parts of the galaxy, or at least the solar system.

Some point to technical issues related to the Xbox Series S, while others suggest that a deal may have secured timed exclusivity for the PS5, though this latter theory has been debunked by reliable insiders. Regardless of the reason, it now seems that Xbox players may soon get their chance to experience Black Myth: Wukong.
