Black Myth: Wukong offers players numerous quests, each packed with rewards like crafting materials, new abilities, spirits, transformations, and sometimes even access to hidden areas or secret bosses. However, not all of these quests are simple, and some can be tricky to figure out. You may come across quest-givers but find it difficult to understand what’s needed to complete them. Additionally, some quests are missable, meaning you could lose out on valuable rewards that could aid your adventure. The Purple Talisman Quest in Black Myth: Wukong is one of these missions that can give you a great challenge. You can do this mission in Chapter 6.
Starting the Purple Talisman Quest
This quest unfolds during Chapter Four, specifically within the Webbed Hollow. The objective is to interact with four purple talismans spread across different locations in the area.
Completing the Purple Talisman Quest
Purple Talisman Location #1
From the Webbed Hollow’s Verdure Bridge Keeper’s Shrine, take the path to the left, cross the green wooden bridge, and turn left again. After a short walk, you’ll spot a tree branch on your right that you can safely jump down to.
Continue along this route until you see a set of stairs to your left. Head up, and eventually, you’ll reach a village-like area. As you ascend, you’ll come across an altar glowing purple. Approaching it will trigger a cutscene involving a familiar sister you met earlier.
After the cutscene, interact with the purple talisman at the altar before proceeding.
Purple Talisman Location #2
As you advance through the chapter, you’ll come upon the Cliff of Oblivion Keeper’s Shrine. Just before reaching the shrine, look for a second purple talisman altar. Be sure to interact with it.
Purple Talisman Location #3
From the Relief of the Fallen Loong Shrine, head upwards and take the left path. You’ll see torches marking the way. Following this trail will lead you to the third altar. Again, make sure to interact with the talisman before moving on.
Purple Talisman Location #4
At the end of Chapter Four, you’ll find yourself at the Keeper's Shrine in the Temple of Yellow Flowers – Court of Illumination. Instead of heading right towards the boss fight, enter the temple directly in front of you and climb the stairs. The final purple talisman is located here.
Boss Fight and Reward
Once you’ve interacted with all four talismans, a cutscene will play, and the Supreme Inspector boss will appear. While this is a tough battle, you don’t need to fully defeat him. Simply lower his health to about 20%, and he will flee. After he leaves, you’ll be able to claim the golden box in front of you, which contains the Celestial Nonary Pill.
