The Labs Below Quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is an engaging side quest within the Crossroads, available during the main quest Into The Crossroads. In this quest, you’ll delve into one of Solas’ memories and navigate an intricate escape from a prison. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you complete this quest smoothly.
Starting Location for The Labs Below
During Into The Crossroads, reach the Crossroads and take a boat to the Converged City. Head south until you find an open area, then follow the eastern path and slide down the slope to trigger The Labs Below side quest.
Escaping the Prison
In this section, you’ll see how Solas’ team managed to infiltrate Ghilan’nain’s Lab. Go to the lower levels and speak with Tarasahl, then proceed through the double doors to start your escape. Destroy the blight boils to prevent enemy respawns, and eliminate all nearby foes. Utilize combo attacks and, if you’re playing as a Rogue, Mage, or Warrior, use ranged weapons as some enemies will explode upon defeat. Move to the next area, grab The Mother of Halla Memento on the left, and head up the stairs.
In the next room, move the central statue to unlock doors, then shoot additional blight boils. Continue up the stairs in the northwest to confront more enemies, including two with yellow shields that require heavy attacks to break.
Outcome and Choices
Once you clear this group, a cutscene will prompt a choice between “He won’t help her” and “Solas, try a cure.” This decision doesn’t impact the larger story, so choose as you prefer.
Quest Rewards
After the cutscene, collect the Wolf Statuette near the stairs to complete the quest. You’ll receive 500 XP, the Watcher’s Robes, +10 Etheric Remnant, +50 Veil Jumpers Strength, and a Companion Bond Increase.
