What resources are there in Redthroat Ridge?
You can find a number of gathering points in Redthroat Ridge that can provide you with two types of resources, one of which is iron ore and the other is stone. You can usually find these resources around treasure dungeons.
Note that when one of the heroes asks you for iron to join you, you can collect the required iron from this place.
Redthroat Ridge dungeon treasures
Unlike most dungeons in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, the Redthroat Ridge dungeon doesn't have any special treasures, except for the Thick Robe, which might come in handy early in the game. To get it, head right and cross the rope bridge to reach this treasure. You can use Thick Robe for Lian, Mellore, or Francesca.
After going back a bit, you will come across a small path that will guide you to the west or to the north. In the north there is a treasure that has two Magical Drops.
Now head west until you reach a bridge going north, but don't cross it and continue west until you reach another bridge. Cross it to reach the next treasure, where you can get the Tricorne Hat. Now go back to use the bridge to go northeast to reach the resource gathering point. Further along the path, when you reach the bridge that goes to the east, you will find a treasure from which you can get containing six herbs.
Continuing the main path, you cross a bridge that goes west, after that you have to turn south to find the next treasure. Now go back to the north and continue on the main path until you reach a junction, in this junction go west after crossing the bridge ahead you can get the last treasure which contains the Rune of Magic. After that, you can return to the main path and go to fight the boss of the dungeon.
Nerthus, the dungeon boss of Redthroat Ridge
You may not be able to see Nerthus after reaching the dungeon boss, this is only because you don't have Mellore with you.
Don't worry, Nerthus is a simple and unchallenging boss, but only if you keep one important point in mind. There are two handles on either side of the battle area, when you activate one of them a weight will come and fall on Nerthus, possibly knocking it unconscious. You have a 50/50 chance to stun the boss.
Nerthus has two types of attacks, both of which are physical attacks, so using Water Veil is not particularly effective.
After you get Nerthus's HP down to about half, he goes into phase two where a new ground attack is added to his attacks that deals damage to all team members. In this case, you should use many of your herbs, and Recovery Wave can help you a lot.
Unlike the physical attacks of the first phase of the boss, which Water Veil did not have a special effect to defend against, in the second phase, this spell can help you against the ground attack and prevent the damage of your team members.
After defeating the boss of Redthroat Ridge, Nerthus, you can add Mellore to your team. Don't worry about going all the way back to the dungeon entrance because you will automatically return to the beginning.
