The An Unfamiliar Sense quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a unique companion mission centered on Lace Harding. This adventure tasks players with helping Harding explore her newfound abilities while also undertaking a rescue mission to save an injured Veil Jumper. Through this quest, players will uncover key character moments and deepen their connection with Harding.
Starting the Quest
To begin An Unfamiliar Sense, you’ll first need to complete the main quest The Smuggled Relic Case. Once done, visit Harding at the Conservatory of the Lighthouse, where she will express a desire to practice her abilities. From there:
- Head to the Crossroads and take the boat to Elvhenan’s Haven.
- Clear out the enemies in the area and destroy the blight boils blocking the eastern path.
- Proceed toward the Arlathan Forest and meet Harding at Ruin’s Reach.
Helping Harding Train
Harding will guide you through her training at the Rocky Shoreside:
- Trigger the cutscene: Upon encountering a lowered rock, a scene will play. If pursuing a romance with Harding, choose the “Wanna talk?” dialogue option to build your bond.
- Navigate the rocky path: Use Harding’s abilities to manipulate rock formations and open pathways.
As you progress, you’ll arrive at a large open area filled with rocks of various types. Here’s what to do:
- Interact with the rocks to create a climbable path leading to the area’s summit.
- Open the gear chest and use the beam to cross to the next section.
- Retrieve the crystal from the chest and place it on the device to activate a platform.
- Continue through the Nameless Building to reach the Shoreside Courtyard.
Outcome and Choices
At the Shoreside Courtyard:
- Use Harding’s abilities one last time to access the elevated platform.
- Speak with the injured Veil Jumper to complete the rescue.
