Some achievements in Metaphor: ReFantazio require unique tasks outside the usual gameplay. The Chef in Training achievement challenges you to cook a meal with Maria’s assistance at the inn. This event can be triggered in Grand Trad, the starting city, though getting Maria’s help may seem a bit tricky.
Getting Maria to Help Cook in Chef in Training
Maria is often found at the Hushed Honeybee Inn in Grand Trad, but in the early part of the game, she won’t be readily available. After progressing through the main events in Grand Trad and beginning your own journey, you’ll encounter her more frequently and have the chance to strengthen her Bond. Around this point, the Chef in Training achievement becomes accessible and is relatively easy to complete.
To start, ensure it’s nighttime in the game. Use any activity to pass the time, whether it’s increasing one of your Royal Virtues or leveling up a Follower’s Bond. Once night falls, teleport to the Hushed Honeybee Inn. If Maria is standing near Fabienne, you’re set. If not, try returning on another night.
When you find Maria there, speak to Fabienne, who will have the Tolerance icon above her head. Choose the option to assist with cooking (avoid selecting the Bidou Meat dish). If done correctly, Maria will offer to help, unlocking the trophy/achievement. The choice of dish doesn’t impact the achievement, only the amount of Tolerance gained.
