Everything you need to know about the The Astral Observatory update in Fisch

Published by A Madadi at August 23, 2026

Today I'm gonna drop a complete guide to The Astral Observatory Update in Fisch. This is one of the weekly updates from the Fisch dev team that we've been waiting for, and I'd say it's one of the biggest updates yet. From new quests to the astral event system, new rods, new companions, and new fish. In this Full Guide to The Astral Observatory Update in Fisch, I'll tell you how to complete the quest and tips for finding hidden items. So stick with me.

New code in The Astral Observatory Update in Fisch

The first thing you should do is enter the new code. It's "ShootingStars". Entering it gets you these rewards:

    • Excel Meteoric Rod Skin
    • 5 Icy Fishing Dots
    • 1 Coral Pearl
    • 5 Cony Pieces
    • 5 Triple Mix
    • Random extra items

    Starting the Astral Observatory quest

In this Full Guide to The Astral Observatory Update in Fisch, the first thing we need to do is complete the update's special quest. The goal is to build a telescope to access the Astral Anomaly system. For this, you need to go to the observatory area and look for Astronomer Vega inside the lab. The first mission he gives you is to collect 5 Battery Casings and a special lens. To find the batteries, head to the Mine Shaft area and fish for them there. Just prepare yourself for a long grind, because each Battery Casing has a 1% catch rate.

    Second mission, finding the lenses

After you deliver the batteries to the NPC, he gives you a second mission: finding lenses scattered across the map. Here are the exact locations for each lens:

    1. First lens is in the Mushgrove Swamp area.
    2. Second lens is on Sunstone Island.
    3. Third lens is near Roslit Bay.
    4. Fourth lens is on Moonseye Island.
    5. The last lens is at the top of Snowcap Island.

I suggest using a fast boat to go to the islands in the order I mentioned. The lenses are usually on high ground or hidden behind rocks.

The Astral Anomaly system in The Astral Observatory Update in Fisch

After you deliver the lenses and batteries, the Astral Anomaly is complete. How does this system work?

The Astral Anomaly system in The Astral Observatory Update activates temporary events across the server during the night and sometimes during the day. Each Anomaly gives buffs to all players on the server, and the fish you catch get special mutations. Currently, in The Astral Observatory Update, we have 5 Anomalies:

    • Celestial Congregation
    • Abyssal Alignment
    • Evershifting Eclipse
    • Meteoric Outburst
    • Lunar Eclipse

New rods in The Astral Observatory Update in Fisch

In this update, we're seeing four new fishing rods available to players:

    Scavenger Rod

Scavenger Rod The Astral Observatory Update in Fisch

You can get the Scavenger Rod by completing the mission from Dr. Crookspine in the Northern Expedition area. For this mission, you need these materials:

    • 2 Silver Rusty Bolts (obtained through trading with other players or by fishing)
    • 5 Scrap Metal (obtained by fishing in The Depths)
    • 1 Lunar String (obtained through trading with other players or by fishing on moonlit nights)

    Scavenger Rod stats:

    • Speed: 75%
    • Luck: 100%
    • Control: 0.1
    • Resilience: 20%
    • Max Weight: 75,000 kg

This rod also has 2 exclusive passives. First, your chance to catch items (other than fish) is tripled. Second, you get a 40% chance to catch fish with the Cabbage mutation.

My suggestion is to use this ROD for catching items, but it's not great for fishing.

    Meteoric Rod

Meteoric Rod The Astral Observatory Update in Fisch

You can get the Meteoric Rod by completing the Meteor Maniac Matthew mission in the Northern Expedition. For this mission, you need these items:

    • 1 Cosmic Relic (obtained from fallen stars)
    • Use a pickaxe to clear 10 fallen meteorites in the Northern Expedition
    • 5 Solar Blaze (obtained through trading with players or from meteorites)
    • 1 Worlds Glass (obtained from hidden caves added in the update)

    Meteoric Rod stats:

    • Speed: 75%
    • Luck: 175%
    • Control: 0.05
    • Resilience: 25%
    • Max Weight: 550,000 kg

This Rod has three exclusive passives. First, 5 meteorites fall from the sky while fishing. Second, dodging each meteorite gives you +10 progress and +5% weight. Third, the chance to catch fish with the Crag Mutation increases by 20%.

If you're looking for faster progression and a bit of challenge, the Meteoric Rod is for you.

    Rod of Singularity

roblox Rod of Singularity The Astral Observatory Update in Fisch

You can get the Rod of Singularity by completing Corvis's mission in the Abyssal Zenith area, located in underwater caves. For this mission, you need these items:

    • 1 Shiny or Sparkling Celestial Crowned Anglerfish (caught in Abyssal Zenith)
    • 1 Nova Harden Glass (caught in the Abyssal Zenith cave)
    • 12 Abyssal Gold Pieces (caught in Abyssal Zenith)
    • 12 Celestial Scrap Metal (caught in hidden caves)

    Rod of Singularity stats:

    • Speed: 618% (extremely high)
    • Luck: 287%
    • Control: 0.08
    • Resilience: 28%
    • Max Weight: Unlimited

This rod has 4 exclusive passives. First, it slows down the indicator speed while fishing, making it easier to control. Second, it speeds up catch progress. Third, if the indicator leaves the fishing bar, the progress bar drain speed increases significantly. Fourth, the chance to catch fish with the Singularity Mutation is increased.

I can tell you with these stats and passives, the Rod of Singularity is one of the best in the game, especially for catching small and medium fish.

    Stellar Wave Melody

StellarWave Melody The Astral Observatory Update in Fisch

You can get the Stellar Wave Melody from Leary's long mission in the Boreal Hollow area. The prerequisite for this mission is completing Braden's mission, where you need to collect 6 Broken Stars. The main steps for the Stellar Wave Melody mission are:

    1. First, catch 7 legendary fish with the Aurora Rod, 7 legendary fish with the Celestial Rod, and 7 legendary fish with the Mythical Rod, all of which must be Perfect Catches.
    2. In the second step, solve 3 different puzzles: the Star Hunter, the Sea Hunter, and the Deep Hunter.
    3. In the third step, find 12 hidden symbols scattered across the map.
    4. In the final step, catch 12 specific fish with Aurora, Celestial, Nova, or Lunar mutations.

This rod has four exclusive passives. First, while fishing, 12 zodiac symbols appear on the control bar. Clicking on each symbol activates a buff:

    • Clicking on 4 symbols gives +10% weight, +10% progress, and +15% progress speed.
    • Clicking on 8 symbols gives +20% weight, +20% progress, and +25% progress speed.
    • Clicking on all 12 symbols gives +30% weight, +40% progress, and +35% progress speed.

Other passives include a 2% chance to receive a Cosmic Relic that can be transferred between rods, plus increased mutation chance based on the symbols you clicked.

In the Astral Observatory Update in Fisch, the Mythical Rod is the strongest and also the most complex ROD. Using it requires high precision and quick reflexes.

    New companions

In The Astral Observatory Update in Fisch, we have two new companions:

    1. Comet: A space comet that can be found around the stars. To tame it, you need to give it Comet Stardust Candy. After you tame it, it sits on your head and uses Astral Lux to increase the server's chance of rare star drops.
    2. Goliath: This companion is actually a predatory fish that you can find in the Burial Hollow Pool.

Summary of The Astral Observatory Update in Fisch

Overall, I'd say this update is really big with lots of new content, from the new quest to fish, rods, and other stuff. One thing to mention is that this guide isn't complete yet. I'll be dropping more info soon, including details on the new fishing rods. So for more guides on mechanics and new info, you can check out the "fisch guide". Stay tuned for more updates on this patch.
