In the past few days, some changes have happened in Fisch that've created a lot of excitement in the player community, especially because OATH RODS Have Been NERFED In Fisch. These changes, mostly involving Level Requirements and key stat reductions, have a big impact on XP gain and income for players. In this fisch guide, I'm gonna go over the details of these changes so you can pick the right strategy with this new info.

    An overview of the changes

After the game updated, lots of changes were made to various items, especially two RODs: Luminescent Oath and Ruinous Oath. Basically, we can say that OATH RODS Have Been NERFED In Fisch. According to the dev team, these changes were made because the items weren't balanced.

The impact of Level Requirements on buying gear

    1. From now on, to buy the Luminescent Oath, you need to be level 500 and have completed the Bestiary for the Luminescent Caverns area.
    2. The requirements for the Ruinous Oath have gotten harder. You now need to be level 1000.

These changes have made things much harder for new players, which has reduced how often these rods are used.

How much were the items nerfed?

Besides adding level requirements, we're also seeing stat reductions. It's clear the devs are really trying to balance these two RODs. Here's how the OATH RODS Have Been NERFED In Fisch stats changed:

    1. Rod stat changes: Big changes here. For example, weight capacity dropped from infinite to 25,000 kg. Control also dropped from 0.22 to 0.15. For the Ruinous Oath, control dropped by 0.4, from 0.12 to 0.08.
    2. Mutation changes: This dropped from 18x to 16x. But not all rods got nerfed. For example, the Try Hard Rod's mutation rate went up from 15.5x to 17x, making it better than the Luminescent, which dropped from 15x to 9x.

    Should we expect more changes?

It seems the rumors about future changes to balance Fisch aren't true, and the devs don't have new plans for that. Some changes, like the progress reduction in the Polaris Serenade event (from 40% to 30%) or mutation chances like Glittered (from 5% to 3%), were already in place before these updates.

But it's not all nerfs. The mutation chance for Socrates went up from 3.5% to 7%, and Pure Returns went from 1.4% to 3%.

Best money-making methods after the balance changes

Even though OATH RODS Have Been NERFED In Fisch, despite all the stat reductions, Luminescent Oath and Ruinous Oath are still among the best rods for making money. Of course, you need to be a skilled fisherman in Fisch. There are other ways to earn XP in fisch and money too:

    1. Aquarium: You can sell fish you got during the Admin Abuse event through the Aquarium for good money.
    2. Verdant Oath Rod: With a 30% chance for mutations like Verdant and Blossomed, this is still a solid option for farming XP and income.
    3. Events: Make sure to participate in events like the Megalodon event. Use good rods like the Steady Rod or King's Rod for fishing.

In the end, don't be upset about OATH RODS Have Been NERFED In Fisch. It's a sign that the dev team is trying to balance the game so all players can have a relatively fair experience. Of course, pro players will always keep progressing, and challenges are just obstacles to overcome.
