This weekend we're getting a small update in the game. It's not huge, but it gives you a Companion that's only available for a limited time. The BABY NESSIE UPDATE In Fisch goes live exactly on October 24, 2026, and you gotta finish it as fast as you can before it's gone. In this Fisch Guide, I'm gonna tell you all the tips and little details of this update so you can finish the BABY NESSIE UPDATE easily and without hassle.
Contents of the BABY NESSIE UPDATE In Fisch
To start the BABY NESSIE UPDATE, you gotta go to the Caustic Hallow area, where the FischFright 3 event is, and head to the chapel on a hill behind the Ritual spot. Out front, you'll meet a Headless Horseman who gives you a 3-step mission. The reward is the Baby Nessie Companion.
Step one – Rescuing Baby Nessie
To start the BABY NESSIE UPDATE In Fisch, talk to the Headless Horseman and select the option "I'll bring your Nessie back". Then enter the Chapel, pick up BABY NESSIE, and bring it back to him. But it's not that easy. You gotta play a little mini-game inside the Chapel, and if you fail, you get thrown out.

Inside the Chapel, you'll see the lights constantly flickering. When the lights are flickering, you gotta stand still and not move. When the lights stop flickering, you can move. I suggest not rushing and doing this step patiently and calmly. After you return Baby Nessie to the Headless Horseman, he gives you three Frightful Caskets and 500 Treats.
Step two in the BABY NESSIE UPDATE In Fisch
In this step, the Headless Horseman asks you to catch 5 Mutated FischFright fish in a row while the lights are flickering. To fish, go to the middle of the Chapel, where there's a small fishing spot. Keep these two tips in mind for this step:
- If you catch a fish without a Mutation, you can release it, and that way your streak won't break.
- I suggest bringing the Eldritch Rod and its Enchant, plus Companions that boost your chance of catching Mutated fish.
Note: This step can be a bit of a pain and take a lot of time, because getting through it comes down to luck. So don't rush and expect to repeat it a few times.
The reward for finishing this step is 5 Frightful Caskets and 825 Treats, which you get from the Headless Horseman.
Step three – Nessie Expertise
In this step, you don't need to do anything special. You just gotta show the Headless Horseman three types of Nessie:
- Plush Nessie
- Zombie Nessie
- Ghoul Nessie
These are fish you've probably already caught before. When you talk to the Headless Horseman, select the "Look at this Nessie" option. If you don't have the fish, you can borrow them from friends since you only need to show them.
After showing those three fish, the BABY NESSIE UPDATE In Fisch mission is complete, and you get the Baby Nessie Companion along with three skins: Baby Plush Nessie, Baby Zombie Nessie, and Baby Ghoul Nessie.
After the mission ends, you can get more skins by showing other fish to the Headless Horseman:

- Moving while the lights are flickering in step one
- Starting step two without the right Rod
- Rushing step three
- Not catching the Shiny Nessies within a week and losing them when the BABY NESSIE UPDATE In Fisch ends
