complete guide to FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch |
We're getting close to Halloween again this year, and we're seeing the FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch event, which brings a bunch of different rewards and all kinds of content. Of course, this event is so huge that if you go in without a guide, you'll get lost. So check out this fisch guide to know what to do at each stage and how to get the rewards and Rods in this game.

Where do we start FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch?
To start this event, you need to go to Moosewood, which is all decorated for FISCHFRIGHT. On the left side, you'll see a boat. Go there, talk to the Dutchman Captain, and select Set Sail. At this point, you'll see a cool cutscene, and then you arrive at Caustic. In this area, you'll spend most of your time during FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch, and there's a lot to do.
Note: In FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch, you get a new item automatically called the Candy Bucket, which you can find in your inventory. I suggest putting this item on your Hotbar so it's handy when you go to houses for Trick or Treat.
Note: In this event, you use Treats to get different items, and you can also get exclusive Trick or Treat fish by knocking on doors.
To start the event, you need to go to the Pumpkin King and grab the first quest from him. This quest isn't hard—you just need to catch 15 fish with a Harpoon and hand them in. Your reward is the Pumpkin Barber, a Title, and some Fright Crates.
Note: Watch out for the green water—don't fall in, because that water is actually acid, and falling in won't end well for you.
How do we collect Hex Energy in FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch?
After finishing the previous part, you need to go to Beatrix and find Witch's Ingredients to give her. Each ingredient gives you a certain amount of Hex Energy, which gradually fills your Hex Stage. You can get these ingredients from Goblins—don't worry about finding them, because the game tells you where to look. Below, I've listed the Hex Energy for each ingredient:
| Ingredient | Hex Energy |
|---|---|
| Dirty Candy Corn | 1 |
| Crushed Bone | 2 |
| Giant Mushroom | 3 |
| Bat Wing / Raven Feather | 4 |
| Dark Arts Skull | 5 |
Types of Goblin Quests in FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch
Each Goblin gives you a challenge with 13 minutes to complete it. These challenges can have difficulty levels: Normal, Hard, Extreme, and Ultimate. Naturally, the harder it is, the more valuable the reward. The challenges you'll face are roughly like this:
- Consecutive jumps
- Insulting Beatrix by repeating dialogue
- Catching several fish from the Fish Fry Bestiary
- A specific move or dance
Each challenge has its own difficulty. For example, on Normal you need to catch 5 fish, and on Ultimate you need to catch 30. I suggest definitely getting the Dark Arts Skull from an Extreme Goblin.
Important notes about Hex Stages
One thing to keep in mind about Hex Stages is that each stage, besides requiring a certain amount of Hex Energy, also needs a percentage of your Bestiary completed. For example, Stage 2 needs 20%, Stage 3 needs 40%, and Stage 4 needs 60%. So to complete each stage, you need to progress your Bestiary.
Note: Definitely start collecting Bestiary fish from the beginning of the event so you don't get caught off guard.
Important Hex Stage rewards
- Eldritch Rod: This Rod has a 15% chance to catch fish in Thorns and a 40% chance for Eldritch Mutation. Available at 10 Hex Energy.
- Dutchman Boat: This boat has 350 speed. Available at 500 Hex Energy.

- Frightful Broom: A flying broom. Available at 750 Hex Energy.
- After 750 Hex Energy, you get a random Relic each time you complete a Hex Stage.

New Rods in FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch

What everyone waits for in every event, especially this one, is the new RODs. In FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch, we're seeing 4 new RODs:
- Doomsucker ROD: To get this ROD, you need to take a quest from a green NPC with fire on his head. In this quest, he asks for the Frightful Pool, 50 Perfect Catches in a row in the Frightful Pool, and defeating the spirit in the Haunted House. After completing the quest requirements, you get the Doomsucker ROD in FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch, along with 3,000 Treats.
- Web Weaver Rod: For this ROD, you need to take a quest from a spider inside a cave under the mountain. In this quest, you need to Trick or Treat at all 16 houses, catch 10 Web Fish, and collect 15 Cobweb Cards. After finishing the quest, you can buy this ROD for 1,000 Treats.
- Dutchman Rod: To get this ROD, you first need to complete the Boggling Ritual and then the Dutchman Blessing Ritual. You also need to reach Hex Stage 3 and awaken 3 Skeletal Hands.
- Omni Essence Spincaster: This is the last ROD you can get in FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch. For it, you need to complete all the previous Rituals up to the Omni Essence Ritual. You'll need Omni Essence, which is the reward for 350 Hex Energy, and the Plush Nessie, which is super rare and can be obtained from Trick or Treat.
Note: If you're short on time, I suggest going for the Web Weaver first since it's the easiest. Also, the hardest ROD to get—and the strongest one—is the Omni Essence Spincaster, which takes a lot of time to gather all its prerequisites.
Haunted House and Frightful Pool
You can identify the Haunted House by the green light on its number. Opening it has a 50% chance—meaning you either get a Jump Scare and lose your Treats, or you get to enter the mini-game. Even then, in the mini-game, you only have one Cast and just a 10% chance to catch a Frightful Ghost.
Rituals, Relics, and Companions in FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch
You can find the Rituals near house number 813 next to Frankenstein. Keep in mind you need to follow the order. The first one, Hex Ritual, requires 100 Treats, and everyone in the server can contribute.
For the Rituals, you need to go for the Skeletal Hands, which are kind of a prerequisite for unlocking higher stages.
You'll see 4 types of Relics: Grim, Vile, Doomed, and Eldritch, each with its own mutation.
As for Companions, you can get the Giddy Ghost with a Vacuum (at 65 Hex Energy) in the Haunted Cemetery, and you can also get daily cats like the Vanni Kitty, which gets a new skin every day.
Summary
Overall, you can think of FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch as a real grind and pretty confusing, but if you go step by step, it won't be that hard. I suggest following this order:
Hex → Bestiary → Ritual → RODs
I hope this Fisch guide has helped you get through the FISCHFRIGHT 3 In Fisch event more easily. I'd love to hear your experience in the comments. Have a good grind!
