Recently, a Reddit user discovered that each photo collected in Silent Hill 2 hints at a specific letter in the text beneath it, based on the number in each image.
For instance, an image with two lipstick marks points to the second letter, which is "E." By collecting all these images and arranging the letters, the hidden message reads:
“You've Been Here For Two Decades.”
This phrase can have two meanings. First, it’s a nod to the fact that nearly 20 years have passed since the original game’s release, suggesting that we’ve been “stuck” in Silent Hill 2 for two decades, now revisited in the remake.
Alternatively, it references an ending in the original game where James becomes trapped in a repeating cycle within Silent Hill, unable to escape.
