Final Fantasy 7 Remake is progressing rapidly
New information about the development of the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy by Square Enix has just been released.
Recently, there has been some happy news for Final Fantasy 7 Remake fans. Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy, has just announced that the writing of the story of the final part of this series has been completed. Square Enix produced Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in a short time and now hopes to maintain this speed and efficiency in making the final part of the trilogy.
These words of Nomura were published in the book Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Material Ultimania Plus, in which, in addition to details about the development of the first two parts of this remake, there are also hints about the future of the trilogy. Based on the translation of a part of this book that was shared by one of the users of X social network, the writing of the script for the next part has been finished and Nomura believes that the recording of the voice of the game will also start soon.
Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of the game, has also expressed hope that the development of the final part will be completed within three years. This is the same amount of time it took to make Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the game's development team worked on the first part and its DLC until 2021, and then developed the second part in less than three years. Pointing out that the final episode's development team is the same as Rebirth's, Kitase predicts that the production cycle for this episode will be short.
Another interesting thing mentioned in the book is that Nomura is working on some story elements suggested by Kitase that were not in the original Final Fantasy 7. He believes that this section, if performed correctly, will definitely make fans happy. As of 2022, it has been confirmed that development of the Final Fantasy 7 remake is underway. Also, at the beginning of this year, news about the progress in writing the story of this episode was published.
Following the release of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, game director Naoki Hamaguchi announced that the sequel will include parts of the original game that were not included in Rebirth, such as Rocket Town, as well as more content related to the Compilation of Final Fantasy 7 products. Hamaguchi also said that the map of the next episode will probably be reworked to allow air travel in the game.
