What’s the Deal? Can You Conquer the Death Stranding 2 Endgame?

Published by M.D at July 13, 2025

For all players who've just finished the game, or those still making their way through the different stages, there's a big question about Death Stranding 2 Endgame. Does the game have New Game Plus, and can they continue playing after finishing the story and seeing the credits? Or do they just turn off the console and enjoy the good memories of this game? Today I'm gonna answer these questions, and I'll try to talk about what you'll find in the Death Stranding 2 Endgame without spoiling the story for those who haven't finished it yet.

Is there a New Game Plus in Death Stranding 2 Endgame?

The answer to this is clear and simple: no. Unfortunately, contrary to what some players think, you can't restart the game with your endgame gear and skills after finishing it. But honestly, it's not that surprising, since the previous game didn't have this feature either.

How can we continue playing after finishing Death Stranding 2?

    1 Death Stranding 2 Endgame

The most important part of this Death Stranding 2 Endgame is how to keep playing after the credits roll. After you finish all 16 episodes, a new episode appears called One Day. In this episode, the whole world opens up for you to explore, and you can freely go anywhere and explore and adventure. This episode has no story or defined ending. You can freely explore the entire maps of Mexico and Australia.

    The Drawbridge Q-pid setting

    3 Death Stranding 2 Endgame

In the Death Stranding 2 Endgame, when Episode 17 starts, you'll see a new option called Drawbridge Q-pid. You can turn it on or off. This is probably the biggest change after finishing the story.

    What does Q-pid do?

This option makes enemies like BTs less annoying for you, so you can deliver cargo more easily. If you're going for the platinum trophy, this is very useful. At this point in the game, your gear is so powerful and advanced that BTs aren't a real threat anymore, just a bit of a nuisance.

Note: The downside of activating Q-pid in the Death Stranding 2 Endgame is that it makes farming Chiral Crystals harder, since you get them from taking down BTs. But don't worry, you can change this setting anytime at the Ring Terminal.

Connecting Preppers in Death Stranding 2 Endgame

After you finish the game, the most important thing to do is complete the Chiral Network. Lots of players haven't managed to finish this even after 60 hours. Here are two examples of things that only unlock after connecting to Terminal 9 (endgame):

    6 Death Stranding 2 Endgame

    Connecting Mr. Impossible

You can find Mr. Impossible in the southernmost part of Australia, near the glaciers. To interact with him, you first need to find a lost cargo shipment on the southeastern rocks near his base. To reach it, you'll need a Climbing Anchor. After you find the cargo, he'll still refuse to connect to the network, so you'll have to do another dangerous mission for him.

    Connecting BPAS

For connecting BPAS, you need to do something similar. Find a lost cargo shipment in the rocks for him. At this point, he won't agree to connect, and you'll need to do a few more missions for him.

Note: After you complete the BPAS connection, you get a special booster that gives you 10 Chiral Crystals every minute.

What's the end goal for continuing the game?

The end goal of Death Stranding 2 Endgame is getting the platinum trophy, meaning 100% completion and getting all Preppers to 5 stars. At this stage, things are easier because you have way more travel options, like monorails, ziplines, Coffin Boards, and various customized vehicles.

What's the best strategy for Death Stranding 2 Endgame?

I suggest building as many roads and monorails as you can so you can deliver cargo stress-free. For that, it's also best to unlock all the mines, since you'll need a variety of different materials.

How long does it take to 100% complete the game?

You need about 60 hours to finish the main story, and 20 to 30 more hours for full Death Stranding 2 Endgame completion. So you can 100% the whole game in about 80 to 90 hours.

Final tips for Death Stranding 2 Endgame

If I wanna give a general overview of what to do after finishing the story, here are a few points:

    • With the Drawbridge Q-pid setting, you can reduce BT annoyance whenever you want.
    • Connect the remaining Preppers.
    • After connecting BPAS, you get a booster that automatically gives you 10 Chiral Crystals per minute.
