Cost: $0 (It's a secret rod!) You're able to get this one by completing a few quests and crafting it in the Ancient Archives. I have a guide on how to get it if you want it! Its stats are rather odd: 50% decreased speed, 120% luck, but -0.1% control and -10 resilience.
Passives: A 50% opportunity to gain 500% worth of a fish, but also have the possibility of losing it. The Siren's Spite (10x multiplier) and the Evil Mutation (15x multiplier) are the goodies.
The Result: I played for ten minutes and sold my inventory for 328,000 dollars. Honestly, far more than I expected out of a free rod! Terrific beginning.
The Mid-Tier Contenders: Scarlet Spin Caster & Luminescent Oath
Scarlet Spin Caster

The Result: Ten minutes later, I sold up for 123,284 dollars. A relatively decent figure for a mid-range rod.
The Big Spenders: Did The Expensive Rods Deliver?

The Surprisingly Underwhelming Rods
Boom Ball: A rod that's been silenced by, well, killing a lot. Its gimmick is a 50% chance of explosion for the fish, so it's essentially useless. The result? A desolate 1,037 dollars. Just avoid this one altogether.
Wicked Fang: You have to wait for a solar eclipse to buy this one. Stats are mediocre, but its passives are not anything special. The profits? A terrible 40,038 dollars. Completely overvalued.
Cerulean Fang: You acquire it through a starfall. It has decent stats but bad passives. It only made 40,580 dollars. Very bad value for five million.
The Best of the Rest: Ruinous Oath
Price: A staggering 30 Million Dollars! This is the best rod of the Crimson Caverns. Its stats are crazy: 95% slower speed, massive 500% luck, and lots of powerful passives such as the Luminescent Oath but more powerful, with assured Master mutation on perfect catch.
The Result: Ten minutes later, I got 178,336 dollars. It's a great grab, but to be honest, I was hoping for a bit more for thirty million! There is some RNG, naturally, but it's a very handy utility.

It's just such a blast to use, and rewarding flawless catches is amazing. But if you're only concerned with maximizing bang for your buck (or zero buck, in this case!), the Evil Pitchfork is unbeatable in this Luminescent Caverns patch. Good fishing!
