In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you’ll recruit powerful allies to fight alongside you. Some are easy to find, while others require deep exploration. But once you have them, how do you upgrade them to keep up with tougher enemies? That’s where the Dojo and Kakurega come in!
Where to Upgrade Allies in AC Shadows
Your first recruit will likely be Yaya, a skilled monk who specializes in close-quarters combat. To recruit her, complete the Stray Dogs mission early in the game. Once she joins, it’s time to level her up!
Building the Dojo for Ally Training
Head to your Hideout, enter Build Mode, and construct a Dojo. This unlocks ally training and can be upgraded further:
- Level 1 – Train allies to Initiate rank.
- Level 2 – Summon two allies instead of one.
- Level 3 – Train allies to Veteran rank.
How to Train Allies in AC Shadows
Once your Dojo is up, or if you’re near a Kakurega, interact with the Ally Board. Choose an ally, spend Mon (in-game currency), and unlock new abilities with each rank-up.
