• Because Shard generation has no cooldown, you can immediately repeat the chain, getting an infinite chain of Howl of the Storms.

All this loop requires is not killing an enemy to refund the melee; shattering the crystals is sufficient, providing you with nearly-infinite uptime on your main ability.

To get the most out of this infinite melee loop, the remainder of the subclass and gear choice need to concentrate on crystal generation support, ability cooldown optimization, and filling in the build's survivability gaps.

Since you're in an ongoing melee cycle (and are thus constantly picking up Stasis Shards, and thus Frost Armor stacks), you receive ongoing passive healing.
