Repairing the Artifact in The Magic of the Ancients Quest
As you explore the North Arlathan Ruins, you’ll find a malfunctioning artifact. To reach the ruins, head west from the main forest, take a ladder down, and move around the broken bridge. Once there, your task is to locate and charge three crystals, each marked on your mini-map.
Start with the southern crystal: it’s on a ledge above you, so use Bellara’s ability from a nearby rock outcropping. Follow the path upward to find the second crystal, avoiding the zipline to avoid missing it. Using Bellara’s ability again, you’ll unlock a codex entry. Continue up to a broken device that Bellara can repair to access the next platform and activate the third crystal.
Interact with a crystal beam on this platform, aligning it with the right-most node to create a bridge and access a chest near the first crystal. Finally, return to the artifact to complete the quest, earning 200 Gold, five Vhendahal’s Tears, and 100 Veil Jumpers Strength as your rewards.
