Let's get right into the classes and their best picks.
Best Talents in 99 Nights In The Forest for each Classes
The Camper Class:
Honestly, most of its perks aren't great for a full 99-night run. The one talent I'd recommend is the Preserver talent for that free self-revive. But honestly, you're smarter just buying the Scavenger class instead.
The Scavenger Class:
All about those chests. The top talent here has to be the Blacksmith perk, which gets you bonus scraps from the grinder.
The Cook Class:
This one's a bit useless now that the Chef is out. To make it somewhat helpful, grab the improved revives so your team knows you're trying. For solo play, take that 10% reduced hunger drain to AFK cook stews longer.
The Hunter Class:
Really only has one good perk: the slightly higher pelt drop rate. To make this class better, I'd recommend grabbing a Brawler or Preserver perk to help you survive fights against those dangerous polar bears for pelts.
The Medic Class:
All about revives. Because of this, I strongly recommend the Brawler's quick revive perk so you can save people without getting killed yourself. Another solid pick is the hearty stupor for a more healing-focused build.
The Gambler Class:
This is a fully chest-based class. Therefore, grabbing a perk from the Scavenger class makes sense. The strongest is the chance to get extra scraps from chests, as opening them faster isn't really needed unless a bear's on your tail.
The Base Defender Class:
This one is all about defense blueprints, which need scraps to upgrade. So, the best move is to take the scrap-from-chests perks or the Blacksmith perk that returns materials.
The Support Class:
One of the best for team games, as you absorb teammate damage. For this, the best perks would be from the Brawler class, like damage blocking or taking 10% less damage.
The Fisherman Class:
This class is based on fishing, meaning it doesn't have a single "best" talent. The one I'd still recommend is the Base Defender perk that lets you upgrade defenses, so you can fish without worrying about cultist attacks.
The Ranger Class:
One of the few classes to start with a revolver. Because of this, the only talent I can recommend is from the Assassin class for that critical strike chance. Why not deal more damage when you can?
The Lumberjack Class:
This class focuses on getting wood. Because of this, I'd give it a scrap-earning talent. This lets the class earn tons of scraps and wood, becoming a faster speed-running option.
The Farmer Class:
Another class that doesn't really need a talent to be good. To force one, I'd give them a Lumberjack perk to help them get more wood for plot farms.
The Brawler Class:
Just use the Brawler class perks. No questions needed here; any of them work. If you're out of points, the Assassin class crit perks are a good backup.
The Chef Class:
This is an upgraded Cook. For a talent, I'd give it the Fisherman perk only because some cooked foods require fish that take time to get.
The Blacksmith Class:
This character is all about the crafting table and scraps. Therefore, the Lumberjack is perfect for them since they can save up scraps and also earn more wood simultaneously.
The Poison Master Class:
Go for one hundred percent critical strike. You already spawn with armor, so extra health isn't needed. Your weapon has few bullets, so making them count is key.
The Assassin Class:
It's all about speed but lacks health. The best for this class are the Brawler class talents. Either faster health regeneration or the 5% incoming damage block is all it needs to thrive.
The Alien Class:
- Obviously pairs perfectly with the Cyborg perk for increased alien tech damage. Nothing more to say!
The Burger Class:
- This class gets stronger the lower your health is. I highly recommend the Brawler's damage block perk, as it will be super useful right after you revive or while fighting on low health.
The Big Game Hunter Class:
- A class that shines in the late game. The best addition would be the Brawler's health regeneration, mainly since it's the only bonus you don't get from pelts.
The Pyromaniac Class:
Deserves the Berserker class talents. The flamethrower is close-range, making you risk taking damage, so you can either take the revive or the higher damage on lower health.
The Cyborg Class:
One of the best classes there is. The talent it needs is critical strike and the lower health/higher damage boost. This is due to the laser cannon, which powers up more through enemy takedowns.
