Hey Tamriel explorers! Ready to uncover the secret items in Oblivion Remastered that’ll make you a total powerhouse? In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, there’s a ton of hidden gear that can supercharge your adventure—like a bow that freezes enemies or a key that makes lockpicking a breeze. I’ve scoured Cyrodiil to bring you the best loot, from the Arena to the icy peaks of Skyrim’s border. Let’s dive into these epic finds and gear up like true legends!

First up, head to the Imperial City Arena—it’s not just great for early Gold Rush and combat leveling! On the right side before entering, you’ll spot two NPCs sparring. Watch them for a minute to gain 5 points in your Hand-to-Hand skill. Sneak behind the pillar nearby, lockpick the crate (it’s a tough one!), and grab the Bands of Kwang Lao. These bad boys boost your Hand-to-Hand by 25 points—insane for a starting item! Not into thievery? Sorry, this one’s for the sneaky types.

Lockpicking that crate too hard? You’ll want the Skeleton Key, the ultimate lockpicking cheat code! This unbreakable key lets you spam the auto-attempt option until any lock pops open. You need to be level 10, though. Head south to the Shrine of Nocturnal, just north of Leyawiin in Blackwood. Speak to the shrine to start Nocturnal’s quest, then skip the investigation—go straight to Tidewater Cave on the southern coast. Swim through, take two lefts, dive underwater, and grab the Eye of Nocturnal. Return it to the shrine, and Nocturnal rewards you with the Skeleton Key. It’s a game-changer!

Frost Wyrm Bow: Freeze Enemies in Their Tracks

Archers, this one’s for you—the Frost Wyrm Bow! It’s the best bow until around level 20, dealing high damage plus frost effects. Trek to Dive Rock near the Skyrim border in the Jerall Mountains—it’s a steep climb, so channel your inner Nord! At the top, find Agnorr’s campsite with a tent, journal, and repair hammers. Head east, then southeast, to face a Frost Troll. Fight smart—stay uphill so the troll struggles to reach you. Take it down, and the Frost Wyrm Bow is yours, ready to freeze foes solid!

Hatreds Soul Bow & Heart: Fire-Powered Destruction

At level 19, you can snag the Hatreds Soul Bow—a fiery beast of a weapon! Start the Daedric Shrine quest for Mehrunes Dagon, which opens an Oblivion Gate outside Chorrol. Inside, don’t go straight—take an immediate right, follow the path, and leap over the lava (sprinting makes it easier in the remaster). Avoid traps, drop into the Fume Vaults, and enter the Embers of Hatred. Fight the Dremora Hatred Keepers (grab their keys and hearts!), then head to the Halls of Dark Hate. Climb the stairs, use the portal, and find the Forbidden Sack with the Hatreds Soul Bow (35 fire damage + speed drain). Bonus: the nearby sack has the Hatreds Heart Mace, another fire-powered monster!

Head northwest of Skingrad to Meridia’s Shrine (level 10 required). Offer bone meal or ectoplasm (grab these from skeletons or ghosts, or buy from an alchemist in Imperial City). Meridia sends you to Howling Cave to clear out necromancers—tough foes if you’re early, so take them out one by one, retreating to heal if needed. Loot their Elven Maces or staffs for extra firepower (and gold!). Return to Meridia, and she’ll reward you with the Ring of the Undead, giving 35% Chameleon (invisibility) and 10 Speed. It’s perfect for stealth builds, though low-sneak players might still get spotted.

Swim to the west coast near Anvil, to a small island off the Gold Coast. Climb up, face west, and jump into the water from the right-side rock. Dive to the bottom to find the Fin Gleam Helmet—it lets you breathe underwater at level 1! While you’re in Anvil, visit Wells Quality Merchandise at the docks. Head upstairs, shut the door, and behind it, grab the Boots of the Eel for 10% shock resistance. Not the best, but it’s unique—sell it if you don’t need it!

Brusef Amelion’s Armor Set: A Hidden Ebony Masterpiece

One of the best armor sets—Brusef Amelion’s Armor—is hidden in Amelion Tomb, just north of Leyawiin. Enter via the Northeast Gate, cross the river, and step inside. It’s a maze with skeletons and zombies, but stick to the path. Watch out for a collapsing roof trap—right where the boulders fall, grab the Gauntlets. Backtrack to the split paths: take the right to a dead-end coffin for the Boots, then the left path (past an archer skeleton) to pull a rope, opening a secret tunnel. Inside, find a chest on the right for the Shield, then head to the Sarcophagus Chamber. Defeat the skeleton, and grab the Cuirass, Sword, and Greaves. Near the exit, behind another chest, pick Whisper Stalks mushrooms to reveal the Helmet. This ebony set with a Frost Shield enchantment (6%) is a must-have!

Start the “Lifting the Veil” quest in Bruma—ask citizens about rumors until Torgan finds you, then speak to Countess Narina Carvain in the Great Hall. She’ll send you to the Jerall Mountains. Skip the journal clues and head northwest to the second “L” in “Jerall” on the map, to Serpent’s Trail. Fight Spriggans, enter the cave, and follow the glowing path to Pale Pass. Before the castle entrance, check the right for a frozen barrel with a Rusty Key. Go west past the castle, up the hill to a tower, and find a chest in the bushes—use the Rusty Key to get the Old Key. Backtrack east, grab the Forgotten Key near the entrance, then head up the hill from Serpent’s Trail to a rock hiding the Circlet of Omnipotence in a Forgotten Chest. It’s a grind, but worth it!
