Shattered Veil Easter Egg Guide: Best Loadout to Start Strong

One of the steps requires it, and while you can swap field upgrades mid-game, it’s easier to start with Ether Shroud to save time. GobbleGums aren’t a must, but ones like Raindrops, Killjoy, and Perkaholic can be lifesavers if you go down during the boss fight and lose your perks. Trust me, you’ll thank me later!

Shattered Veil Easter Egg Guide: Step 1 – Unlock Pack-a-Punch and Grab the Ray Gun Mark II

With both the fuse and circuit board in hand, follow the marker to repair the elevator. Go around the back, hold the interact button, and once it’s fixed, call the elevator. A horde of zombies will spill out when it opens, so take them down! After that, zip down the elevator shaft to the mainframe chamber. Follow the orange marker to unlock Pack-a-Punch, and you’re ready for the next step: grabbing the Ray Gun Mark II.

You can try your luck with the Mystery Box (the Wonderbar GobbleGum helps), but there’s a guaranteed way to get it for free. In the mainframe chamber (round 10 or higher), head to the service tunnels. A lab technician zombie will spawn—kill it to get a floppy disc. If it doesn’t spawn at round 10, keep going a few rounds; it’ll show up. Check the floor for a glowing gold floppy disc if you miss the drop. Once you’ve got it, take it to the east foyer near the T-Rex skeleton, insert it into the fax machine, and wait for it to print a Project Janus paper. Vermin will spawn while it prints, so clear them out. The paper will reveal a four-letter word in all caps (like MOTH, CRAB, YETI, or WORM—mine was CRAB). Note it down; it’s crucial for the next step.
Shattered Veil Easter Egg Guide: Crack the Code and Unlock the Ray Gun Mark II

Take your code to the service tunnels, where you’ll find a Doppelgänger trapped behind a glass door. Interact with the keypad, enter your code, and the door will open. Kill the Doppelgänger to get a severed arm, then head to the supply depot through the service tunnels. Access the armory, interact with the keypad using the severed arm, and boom—the Ray Gun Mark II is yours for free! Search “Shattered Veil Easter Egg Guide Ray Gun Mark II” to see why this step is a game-changer.
Shattered Veil Easter Egg Guide: Collect the Canisters for Ray Gun Variants

- Casmir Grenade Canister: Grab a Casmir Grenade (craft it or find one in the service tunnel opposite the armor wall buy). Go to the rear patio behind Double Tap, throw the grenade at the zombie window barrier, and it’ll suck out a canister for you to pick up.
- Crystal Canister: Look for blue crystals on the ceiling in the service tunnel, conservatory, southwest balcony, or east foyer. Shoot them—one will drop a canister (others drop salvage).
- Gas Pipe Canister: In the service tunnel, find a smoking pipe outside the map. You’ll need tomahawks (craft them or find them at the spawn room tree stump, nursery bed, or near Pack-a-Punch). Throw a tomahawk at the lower-right gas valve to make it leak, then hit the valve labeled B. Samantha will speak if done right. Head to the mainframe chamber, use an explosive on the gas-filled chamber to shatter the glass, and grab the canister.

Shattered Veil Easter Egg Guide: Ray Gun Mark II P – Light Canister and Serpent Mound Puzzle

Melee the crystal to send energy through the lasers to a Doppelgänger statue, spawning the first of three Doppelgängers—kill it. Melee the first refractor once, move the second refractor to the upper level, and align the laser to hit the second statue. Melee the crystal, kill the second Doppelgänger, then adjust the refractors again to hit the third statue (a stronger Doppelgänger). Once all three are down, grab the light canister, head to the director’s quarters, and craft the Ray Gun Mark II P.

In the banquet hall, interact with the computer near the portrait to charge the portal with the Ray Gun Mark II P. Enter the liminal banquet hall, grab the ritual elixir (red bottle) from the dining table, and interact with three blood cups around the map (bottle area, overlook sofa, garden pond bench). Each spawns an Elder Disciple—kill them to reveal symbols and a three-part safe code on the banquet hall portraits. Use the code (left to right) to open a safe in the west hallways, grab the antler carving, and start a lockdown in the liminal banquet hall. Take down the elite zombie with the Ray Gun Mark II P to complete the second step.

Shattered Veil Easter Egg Guide: Boss Fight and Final Tips

The boss fight has four phases, each tougher than the last. Focus on the T-Rex’s glowing eyes, mouth (when it pukes acid), and ribcage (when it opens). Rotate around the arena clockwise or counterclockwise to dodge acid pools. At 75% health, the T-Rex retreats to the cliff, spawning zombies—use the Wonder Waffe to clear them. Ammo is scarce, so bring points to buy from ammo boxes. In phase two, watch for more green gas puddles and faster T-Rex movement. It’ll nose-dive at players, so keep moving! At 50% health, it retreats again, spawning bigger acid pools. Phase three gets brutal—the T-Rex moves faster, tracks players, and can throw you forward, halving your health. Use a Chopper Gunner here if you’re in co-op. In the final phase (25% health), save your Chopper Gunner if solo—it’ll make this phase a breeze. Keep dodging, focus on critical spots, and you’ll take down the T-Rex and complete the Shattered Veil Easter egg!
