How To Get More Lockpicks (The Easy Way)
The simplest method? Loot 'em! Lockpicks drop randomly from enemies, chests, and other lootable goodies all across Cyrodiil. But if you want a steady supply, your best bet is to join the Thieves Guild.
Your first hookup will be Ongar the World-Weary in Bruma. He’s always got a stack of cheap lockpicks ready to sell. Just grab everything he has, wait a few days, and check back for a restock. It’s basically infinite picks on a budget.
Hate Lockpicking? Here’s How To Skip It
If the minigame is driving you crazy, don’t worry—you’ve got options.
Option 1: The Skeleton Key
Complete Nocturnal’s Daedric quest, and you’ll score the Skeleton Key, an unbreakable lockpick that makes all other picks look like trash. Just be at least Level 10 to start the quest.
Option 2: Use Alteration Spells
No lockpicks? No problem. The Alteration school lets you open locks with pure magic. Once you hit Expert level (75), you can cast unlock spells for even the hardest locks.
