How to Optimize Stellar Blade PC Settings for Max FPS, Performance & Crisp Visuals!
Almost everyone who's played Stellar Blade on PC feels like their system is being pushed harder than it should be. Don't worry—you can easily fix this with Optimize Stellar Blade PC Settings, without losing quality, and even without Upscaling or Frame Generation, you can boost your FPS by 20%. Before we go over the Stellar Blade settings, you should know that each setting affects a different part of your hardware—like the Processor, VRAM, or graphics card—and most frame drops come from tuning settings without keeping that in mind.

Graphics Preset settings in Stellar Blade
To start this Optimize Stellar Blade PC Settings guide, let's go to the Graphics Preset. Using this, you can get things done fast without getting into tons of detail. If your graphics card is around an RTX 3050, I suggest setting this to Medium.
Texture and Object

In the Object section, set Environment Objects and Character Object Detail to High. These settings control the detail of things like mountains, and the difference between the options is tiny. They also don't affect your FPS.
Best performance with Texture settings
Environment Texture directly affects VRAM, and you won't see much difference between Medium and higher. I suggest people with 8GB graphics cards don't go above High, while those with 12 or 16GB cards can max it out. On the other hand, Character Texture looks really bad only on Low, and the other settings don't change much. Since it doesn't stress your system much, you can set it to Very High.
Which settings depend on the Processor?
Some settings put most of the load on the CPU instead of the GPU:
- Clutter Density: Controls vegetation density. On Low, the ground is empty. On Medium, the game world shows more detail but runs about 9% slower than Low.
- Environment Object Visible Distance: The effect isn't very noticeable past 25, and at max it only adds about 2% to FPS. If you have a good Processor, set it to 100; otherwise, 50 is enough.
- Character Visible Distance: This helps you see enemies from far away. On Low, you only see them up close, which matters a lot in areas with long sightlines. I suggest setting it to 100 if you have a strong Processor, otherwise 50 is a good option.
- Animation Quality: This affects how smoothly distant enemies move. If you have a strong processor, you can max it out.
Light and shadow settings
One of the heaviest settings in the game is Shadow Quality. High is only about 17% slower than Very Low but looks way better, and it performs about 14 FPS better than Very High. So High is a solid recommendation.
Other settings for Optimize Stellar Blade PC Settings
| Option | Recommended Value | Short explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Lighting Quality | Medium | About 5% slower than Low, but looks better |
| Volumetric | Followed | visual difference is basically invisible |
| Particle Quality | Medium | 2% drop, up to 5% in busy fights |
| Ambient Occlusion | Medium | Only about 3% slower than Low |
| Depth of Field | Low | About 4% slower than Off with good quality |
| Screen Space Reflections | Medium | About 6% drop, but worth it |
As for Chromatic Aberration, Film Grain, and Motion Blur, these are totally personal preference and don't affect FPS much.
Note: Ambient Occlusion affects shadows in the corners of walls and buildings. My experience says the Low option is really weak.
Resolution Scaling
The last option we're checking in Optimize Stellar Blade PC Settings is Resolution Scaling. Stellar Blade has three options here: FSR, XeSS, and DLSS. You could say DLSS gives you the most stable image. Sure, it makes DLSS about 13% slower than FSR, but it gives you much better image quality.
Note: Users with NVIDIA graphics cards should enable DLSS Quality, which gives you 30% more FPS.
