Marvel Snap Offers Big Compensation After Temporary U.S. Shutdown
Marvel Snap, the popular card battler, is providing generous compensation following its brief unavailability in the United States earlier this month. While all players worldwide are eligible for rewards, U.S.-based players receive exclusive bonuses as part of a special downtime package.
The shutdown occurred after the U.S. Congress passed the "Protecting Americans From Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act," which specifically targeted ByteDance, the parent company of Marvel Snap's publisher, Nuverse. The legislation caused Marvel Snap to go offline for U.S. players on January 19, 2024. However, the ban has since been temporarily lifted, allowing the game to return to the U.S. market.
Developer Second Dinner apologized for the disruption, announcing compensation packages tailored to players’ Collection Levels. For U.S.-based players:
