Prerequisite: Acquiring the Wolfsbane Exotic Axe
Before you can begin the hunt for the intrinsic upgrades and the Wolfsbane Catalyst, you will first need to acquire the weapon. The Wolfsbane is the exclusive reward for completing the new Helios Station Exotic Mission. Having acquired the Wolfsbane, you can replay the mission via the Pinnacle Ops Risa node in the Destinations tab.
This is a crucial step as re-entering the mission allows you to change the difficulty and include modifiers, as in other pinnacle activities.
Catalysts and Intrinsic Perks: Difficulty Requirements

How to Obtain Wolfsbane CATALYST in Destiny 2
The acquisition of the Wolfsbane CATALYST is tied to a secret interaction in the Master difficulty version of the mission.
Start the Master difficulty mission and play through the initial section, killing enemies and activating the middle object to spawn the shielded Syllann.
Locate the Secret Data Pad
Walk past the first radio-emitting structure.
Before you reach the second radio-emitting structure, round the corner on your right.
Here, you can find a concealed data pad. Interact with the data pad to take it.
Inserting the Data Pad
Continue down the normal mission route until you spawn the second shielded Syllann.
A monitor is located next to this Syllann.
Interact with the monitor to insert the data pad. The screen of the monitor will clearly be different once insertion is successful.
You have now unlocked exotic catalyst drop. To complete the process of acquiring it, you need to simply finish the exotic mission you're on. Set Two: The Radiation Jumping Puzzle
The second set is in the jumping puzzle room (the section where you must avoid radiation beams and hack symbols). These are split between the two mirrored jumping sections you must complete to activate the elevator codes.
You will need to actively search both jumping puzzle rooms.
One room will contain one or two items, and the other room will contain the rest.
Destroying the third object in this set will grant you your second innate perk upgrade.
Set Three: The Final Boss Arena
The third set of three objects is in the final boss fight arena and is the easiest to find:
When you enter the final arena (after the elevator), head directly to the back wall, opposite the side you entered on. Destroy the first object there.
The remaining two objects are located inside the two small rooms that are unlocked using the Quicksilver Sign during the boss fight mechanics.
The second object is typically located right up behind the monitor in the first quicksilver room.
The final third object is found immediately to your left upon entering the second quicksilver room.
Destroys the final object awards the fourth and final intrinsic perk upgrade, finalizing the customization of your Wolfsbane Exotic Axe. With the Catalyst acquired and all intrinsic perks unlocked, your new Exotic is active and prepared for use.
