This area is the best choice for your base early in the game because it's close to the first Ranger Station and also pretty safe. In this area, I can introduce two good spots for you.

H3: Next to the First Ranger Station

Set up your first base at the bottom corner of the Snack Bar area, right next to the Ranger Station. This spot has a few special features:

1. Easy access to the Resource Analyzer and Sign Shop

2. Good access to the Water Cooler

3. Really good access to the Pneumatic Tube System

4. No bugs attack you in this area

5. Lots of resources like Grass, Weeds, and Sap are available.

H3: Deck in Front of Hot Dog Stand

The second spot I'm gonna introduce you to in Grounded 2 Best Base Locations is the Deck in Front of Hot Dog Stand. But why?

1. You have access to both Ranger Stations.

2. If you build next to the Deck, Bombardier Beetles and Mosquitoes won't come near you.

3. You can easily defend it.

The only issue is access to resources. You gotta bring them down from above, so you'll need to build stairs for that.

H2: Snack Bar and Broom Stick for base building

The next two spots I wanna introduce to you for base building are in high areas in Grounded 2 and give you more space to build.

H3: Flat Area East of Previous Location in Snack Bar

This spot is northeast of the Field Station.

1. You have access to both map stations.

2. You have lots of space and can build a big base.

3. You can set up many Sap Catchers.

One thing about this spot: there's a risk of Larvae attacking from a cave down below, and also Infected attacks from the Haze area. I suggest you definitely build a Fence.

H3: Underneath the Broom Stick in the Ceremony area

You can find this spot at the bottom corner of the Ceremony area.

1. It's very close to the Ceremony station.

2. You have a stone ceiling above you that protects you from bird attacks.

3. You can build your base with multiple floors.

Building a fence is also recommended for this spot because a Large Scorpion might pass by.

If I were to recommend one permanent base location in the game, this spot would be at the top of the Grounded 2 Best Base Locations list.

1. You can easily access the Veggie Garden Outpost.

2. No bugs or creatures come near you.

3. All kinds of resources like grass, weeds, Spiky Burrs, Pumpkin, and Pine Cone are abundant around you.
