Begin the quest to get the HARVESTER Glove in Slap Battles by leading your four-player squad into the default arena. Locate the unique deep path—a newly opened path leading to a building that houses a teleport portal. The teleport will lead your squad into the multi-story cornfield maze.
Familiarizing Yourself with the Mechanics of the Cornfield Maze
The maze is made up of five distinct floors. The first four floors are of progressive difficulty and are randomly generated. The fifth floor has a pre-set, permanent design. Winning relies on reaching the exit of every floor as fast as possible, which is always indicated by a blinking small icon on your screen.
Threats Identification and Countermeasures
There are several special entities protecting the maze that need to be countered by a specific counter-strategy to avoid instant disqualification or being pushed off track.
Pim Next Bot (The Chaser): This character has been notorious from previous challenges. It's aggressive and quick in movement.
Counter-Strategy: Triggering the Wall glove's power will slow down Pim. You can sometimes avoid a head-on collision by jumping left or right, utilizing geometry to go around him.
The Harvester (The Nice Goober): This passive threat simply walks around.
Counter-Strategy: The Harvester sets traps on the ground. Simply do not step on these traps, and the Harvester will not be a direct obstacle to your progress.
The Stalker (The Silent Threat): These appear in later levels, typically right behind players. They do make a faint noise on occasion, but not always.
Counter-Strategy: Check behind you frequently. As soon as a Stalker spawns, you must turn around immediately and slap it. If you don't, they'll knock you off course.
Player Characters (Red Eyes): They're walking player models that are small with glowing red eyes.
Counter-Strategy: Stay away from them! Being near these characters will spawn a Pim Next Bot, which will essentially seal the fate of your run.
The Imperative Fifth Floor Walkthrough
Since the first four floors are randomized, no specific guide can be provided. Your highest priority is to find each floor's well-lit exit door. That being said, the path to the HARVESTER Glove on the final floor in Slap Battles is always the same, so this is the most important section to memorize.
The Static Path to the HARVESTER Glove in Slap Battles
When descending to the fifth floor, follow this precise sequence of steps:
Start: Go straight, then turn slightly to the right, but still hug the left wall.
Next: Go straight again, then turn very slightly to the right (watching out for Stalkers). Go straight.
Third Section: Turn slightly to the left and go straight, heading towards the left path (not the shortcut).
Fourth Section: Turn right and take another right. (Keep an eye out for more Stalkers!)
Fifth Section: Turn left and head down this path. When you reach the turn, keep to the left (don't head right towards the hay bales).
Final Approach: Turn right after the hay bales and you'll enter a large opening.
Right to Sand: Turn right once more. At the sand section, turn right immediately down the path that's available.
The Home Stretch: Follow this path and take the left on the next turn. Take this all the way to the opening.
Last Turns: Take a left at this intersection and follow the path. Keep close to the wall on the right, ever vigilant for Stalkers.
Victory: Take the right turn here, hug the path, and take the next immediate left. Hug the right until more sand can be seen, then take a final left. This is the home stretch where you simply run straight until you see the HARVESTER Glove.
HARVESTER Glove in Slap Battles Mechanics and Updates
Once acquired, the HARVESTER Glove possesses a unique synergy that is excellent at setting up easy follow-up slaps.
Ability: Call to Harvest: When slapping an enemy, a crow will manifest and hit the enemy with minimal knockback. This generates a brief delay, during which time the user can close the distance.
Crow Mark: The crow marks the location where the target is standing on the ground with a red glow circle. The Harvester then teleports the victim to the marked spot.
Follow-up Slap: Once the victim has been tossed onto the red circle, the original slapper (if well-placed) can deliver a follow-up slap that sends a lot more knockback, typically leading to a simple KO.
