The Full Guide to FISCHMAS UPDATE in Fisch
The winter season is officially here, bringing with it the much-awaited release of the FISCHMAS UPDATE in Fisch. This major content drop offers a completely new area of the map, exclusive event Rods, secret mechanics and a brand new boss to face for endgame. We are going to be giving you a thorough, expert guide on how to navigate the entire feature-the first one being the most interesting one.

The Free Rod and The North Star Station
The FISCHMAS UPDATE in Fisch gives you a very nice present and new travel destination.

Santa's Letter and Free Rod Claim in The FISCHMAS UPDATE in Fisch
You will immediately be opened to a pop-up notification for Santa's Letter when the game commences. It gives you the opportunity to WISH For a ROD of your choice.
Claiming Mechanics: The letter opens a menu where you must type in the name of the Rod you want.
Availability Window: Importantly, this will be functional only between the 24th and the 26th of December. Ensure that you log in during this period of two days to claim your chosen Rod.

Glacial Ridge and Igloos
You can take the train between Moosewood and North Star Station and continue on to the Glacial Ridge to arrive at the primary event area. This area contains essential items for the continuing events of FISCHMAS UPDATE in Fisch:
First Igloo (Left): Houses the Frost Moon Totem (Cost: 5,000 Bells). This is essential for triggering the Frost Moon Event.
Second Igloo (Opposite): Contains the Festive Relic (Cost: 2,500 Bells). This item is mandatory for upgrading the final Rod.
Third Igloo (Final): Sells Presents (Cost: 200 Bells).
Personal Analysis (Economy Focus): The fact that the Frost Moon Totem and Festive Relic can be bought only for Bells indicates a marked shift towards encouraging every player to actively sell their catches to the Merchant. Prioritize selling fish found in the village, for you will require thousands of Bells to purchase all the event items and the most expensive Rod.
New Event Rods and Village Quests
The village will be the main event area, with all of the quests centered around the main quest line and the new event Rods.
Event Rods for Purchase
Among the many other things the FISCHMAS UPDATE in Fisch introduced new Rods, which are for sale:
1. Peppermint Rod:
* Cost: 4,000 Bells
* Stats: Decent Lower Speed (350%), Lock (50%), Control (0.12), Resilience (12%). Max KG is 10,000.
* Passive: All fish have a 25% chance for the Peppermint Mutation.
2. Gingerbread Rod:
* Cost: In-game Cash (Regular Currency)
* Stats: Lower Speed (50%), Luck (65%), Control (0.1), Resilience (10%). Max KG is 2,000.
* Passive: All fish have a 25% chance for the Gingerbread Mutation.
The item is the new Jukebox for Robux, which grants permanent 2x Luck and 2x Mutation bonus, awesome for Farming the event resources.
The Santa's Workshop Quest Line

Your introduction to Freezing Waters in the workshop here leads to "Santa Claus," who turns out to be C-A-R-B-O-N. His first quest consists of the help of four Elves who have encountered problems in the shop.
To help them there are a total of four Elves:
| Elf Type | Task Description | Items to Collect | Locations (Inside Workshop) |
| Clumsy Elf | Find misplaced wrapping paper. | 5x Wrapping Paper | Near the Elf on the main table, next to the Short Elf, and on the window by the Bold Elf. |
| Lazy Elf | Collect ribbons. | 3x Ribbons | On the couch next to the Elf, on the table to the right, and on the right side of the room near the entrance. |
| Short Elf | Hang stockings by the fireplace. | 5x Stockings | Scattered on the floor beneath chairs and tables. Collect them and place them manually on the fireplace. |
| Bold Elf | Find their lost hat. | 1x Hat | Climb the ladder and find the hat on the table around the corner. |
Helping the elves will result in C-A-R-B-O-N revealing that the true Santa is lost and giving you the first quest to go find him.
In Search of Santa and His Long and Dreary Endgame Quests
The main quest line will see to searching out Santa and then a run of very tough Fishing missions to follow.
Finding the Santa ( The Nice List Title)

1. Travel to Northern Expedition: Use the Traveler's Whistle or physically travel to the Base Camp and proceed to the Overgrowth Cave.
2. Navigate the Cave: Climb the cave system using ledges and parachutes to reach the summit. The GPS coordinates you are looking for are approximately 20411,404,5584.
3. Rescue: "Santa" reveals to you that upon finding him, he will instruct you further, saying to use your temporarily working Magic Snow Globe for teleporting back to the village. Completing this step rewards the "On The Nice List" Title.
The Grinding Quests
Santa will then give you some tasks in connection with particular catches. In other words, these have to be done by the player and could not be traded:
Quest 1 (Reward: Santa's Hat): Fish 5x Gingerbread Men and 2x Eggnog (These are common catches in the village river).
Quest 2 (Reward: Lantern): Fish 3x Santa's Presents (These are larger than the standard Present abundance. Using the Magni Rod combined with Magnet Bait is highly effective).
Quest 3 (High Difficulty): Catch 6x Hot Cocoa. Warning: This is the most challenging quest due to the Hot Cocoa having a low, one-collective rarity and no specific Abundance. It is pure chance, although Carol Carp Abundance has been reported to yield slightly better results.
The Maelstrom Rod: The Final Challenge
Indeed, the ending of the FISCHMAS UPDATE in Fisch would be acquiring that Maelstrom Rod, the best Rod in this update, which involves quite a complicated series of events, items, and masterfully tough boss fighting.
Prerequisite Items (Full Checklist)
In order to activate the Maelstrom Rod, you need to have the following items:
Santa's Miracle Rod: Given as a reward for completing the entire main quest line (including catching the North Star Whale).
Everfrost Key: Also received upon completing the main quest line.
Festive Relic: A purchase from the Igloo at Glacial Ridge (2,500 Bells).
Essence of Winter: An Essence acquired randomly by fishing in the village with happy chances at 1 in 1000.
Essence of Starfrost: A catch 1 in 150 entirely during frost moon event fishing-only catch.
Frost Moon Totem: To activate the Frost Moon Event yourself purchased from the Igloo (5,000 Bells).
Open Vault and Last Bossing

Activate Frost Moon: Use the Frost Moon Totem (or wait for the naturally occurring event).
Pull the Levers: While Frost Moon is happening, find and pull all three hidden Levers in the village to unlock the underground Vault Door (or Bunker):
* Lever 1: Behind the Merchant.
* Lever 2: On the house to the left of the Peppermint Rod, behind the small greenhouse.
* Lever 3: At the very top of the ladder on the house next to the Peppermint Rod.
Use essences and Key: Enter the Vault. Place the Essence of Winter and Essence of Starfrost into the appropriate Serpent statues. Finally, use the Everfrost Key on the door.
Victory Over Cryoshock Serpent: This begins the last boss fight of the game with the Cryoshock Serpent, a lengthy and difficult battle. It has to be caught to be successful.
Buy Maelstrom Rod: After catching the Serpent, the Maelstrom Rod will be for sale at a platform.

| Name of rod | Cost | Passive | Stat Key |
| Maelstrom Rod | 3,250,000 | Not obtainable any other time except during Fischmas. Glacial power capable of locking the sea. | Lower Speed (80%), Luck (85%), Control (0.15), Resilience (35%), Max KG (Infinite). |
