Why Is Mr. Fantastic a Meta Monster in Marvel Rivals Season 2?

Mr. Fantastic got a glow-up in Season 2 thatâs downright unfair. Heâs got 25 more health per piece (more survivability), increased elasticity, and his punches hit harder than ever. This dude is out here killing Star-Lord out of his ult with his belly buttonâtalk about disrespectful! Heâs tossing Hawks and Moon Knights into holes like heâs feeding a toddler (âHere comes the airplane!â âïž), chest-bumping snipers off perches, and wiping teams under low ceilings with his ultimate.

Whatâs Mr. Fantasticâs Core Playstyle in Season 2?

- Bouncing to my backline to peel for healers.
- Teaming up with divers to clap enemy healers.
- Yanking enemies off my healers to force a 1v1.
With good game sense, thereâs no limit to how you can play him. Heâs everywhere, bending the rules (and himself) to give your team the edge. Letâs break down his kit and see how to maximize his Season 2 buffs!
How to Use Mr. Fantasticâs Primary Attack After the Season 2 Buff

- You can hit multiple enemies with one punch by sweeping across the arena (youâll see me doing this in clips!). But you only get elasticity for the first enemy hit.
- At 100 elasticity, you enter Inflated Puffed-Up Boy Form, where punches deal 80 damage each (up from 75). Thatâs 240 damage per comboâenough to melt squishies like Spider-Man or Black Panther!
This makes him a nightmare for zippy heroes who dodge hitscan attacks. Just sweep your punches left to right, up and down, and watch âem cry. Smaller enemies like Jeff and Rocket? They canât escape your stretchy wrath!
Mastering Flexible Elongation: The Season 2 Game-Changer
Flexible Elongation (E ability on PC) got a massive rework, and itâs a game-changer in Season 2:

- Cooldown: Dropped from 10s to 8s per charge (2 charges)âspam this all day!
- Target a Teammate: Lunge to them, giving both of you a shield. Great for diving with a teammate or escaping to your healer.
- Target an Enemy: Lunge to them, deal damage, and apply a 35% slow debuff for a few seconds. This is insaneâVenom, Black Panther, Spider-Man, or Iron Man canât escape!
- Trade-Off: You now get 20 elasticity (down from 30), but with the primary attack buff, youâll still hit Inflated Form easily.
Use this to bounce to Moon Knights on perches or Black Widows thinking theyâre safe. Theyâll panic, and in a 1v1, theyâre toastâMoon Knights legit rage-swap after I lunge at âem!
Distended Grip: Your Go-To Ability for Chaos

- Option 1: Hit two enemies (right-click one, left-click another) to snap them together, dealing damage on impact. Itâs like a Looney Tunes head-bonk!
- Option 2 (My Fave): Hit the same enemy with both clicks to yank them to you. Turn your camera to control where they goâtoss âem into holes, away from doors, or into your team to get shredded.
I use this to grab divers off my healers (âNot today!â) or pull tanks like Magik away from their squad, right into my team for a beatdown. You can do this twice in a fight thanks to the short cooldownâenemies hate it!
How to Use Reflexive Rubber Like a Pro
Reflexive Rubber (Shift on PC) lets you puff up, absorb all incoming damage, and reflect it as a powered-up projectile. Itâs disrespectful AFâlike that kid in My Hero Academia shooting glittery lasers from his belly button! Tips:

- Counter Ults: Negate Jeffâs ult (no swallowing!), Eye of Agamotto, Namorâs whale, or any CC.
- Quick Reflect: Donât wait for the full durationâabsorb one attack (like Moon Knightâs damage spam), then hit Shift again to fire the projectile before they escape.
- Projectile Tip: Itâs slow, so aim at close enemies. Lead your shot if theyâre far.
I use this to destroy Punisher turrets, punish Star-Lords in their ults, and make enemies regret targeting me. Youâll see me getting kills with this every gameâitâs dumb, but I love it!
Brainiac Bounce Ultimate: Low Ceilings, Big Kills

Mr. Fantasticâs ultimate, Brainiac Bounce, got a huge buff:
- Health Buff: You now get 400 extra HP during the ult, making it way harder to die (you used to be a sitting duck).
- Bounces: Bounce 3 times, but if you hit on the third, you get a fourth, then a fifth, up to a sixth.
- Best Spot: Use it under low ceilingsâyour bounces go lightning-fast (bonk-bonk-bonk!), dealing massive burst damage. Tanks get melted, and squishies donât stand a chance.
Avoid open areas or high ceilingsâenemies will just run or shoot you down. Find those tight spots and watch the kills rack up!
How to Rotate and Dominate with Mr. Fantastic in Season 2

Hereâs how to play Mr. Fantastic like a pro:
- Deny Space: Sweep your primary attacks to hit multiple enemies, priming them for your team.
- Isolate: Use Flexible Elongation to lunge at a target, slow them, and gain shields.
- Reposition: Use Distended Grip to yank them where you wantâaway from their team, into yours, or off the map.
- Sustain: Pop Reflexive Rubber to counter damage, then reflect it at a squishy.
- Ultimate: When enemies group up under low ceilings, unleash Brainiac Bounce for massive damage.
- Escape: If things get hairy, use Flexible Elongation to lunge to an ally and regroup.
Youâll be a total nuisanceâenemies wonât know what hit âem! Iâve got clips of 40- and 50-kill games to prove it. Check âem out and see Mr. Fantastic in action!
