Best Route to GET HORACE in Borderlands 4 Quickly
I'm just skipping past most enemies here, but if you're on your first playthrough and coming here to grind for XP and loot, you might want to clear out these guys for the extra rewards. It's a bit of running to get there, but once we reach the area, we can use the respawn machine to farm him repeatedly.
to GET HORACE in Borderlands 4, Make sure to activate the checkpoint before you drop into his arena, otherwise you'll have to backtrack later. Finally, we're at Horace's arena right here in the middle of this building - just drop down and take this dude out to get his drops!
Horace Legendary Loot Drops
After several runs, let's check out Horace's legendary drops:
Lucky Clover (Legendary Pistol)
Manufacturer: Torgue
Gold Text: "Kismet on reload fires two homing rockets that deal up to 2,315 damage each"
Blast radius bonus for extra damage
Base damage: 1,157 with 76% accuracy
1.3 second reload time, 7 fire rate
6 round magazine
Red Text: "Such devastation... this was my intention" (Final Fantasy XIV reference)

The charging mechanic takes some getting used to, and the homing rockets can feel a bit underwhelming sometimes. It's a decent early-game legendary weapon, but you'll probably find better options later.
Aegon Dream (Assault Rifle)

Red Text: "Finish the song" (George R.R. Martin/Game of Thrones reference)
Fires both fire and ice elements - get it? Song of Fire and Ice!
Really good fire rate and handling
Solid assault rifle that's great for early game
Double barrel and full auto firing modes
Not the strongest AR but definitely serviceable for early content
Pacemaker (Shield)
Gold Text: "Pulse motor passively regenerates health over time, increasing rate when health is low"
Red Text: "You got a heartbeat going baby faster and faster" (Super Bass by Nicki Minaj reference)
Heals faster when your health is lower
Really good healing capability for early game
Multiple charge versions available (more charges = more healing)
Great defensive option for survivability
Farming Tips and Recommendations
All of Horace's drops are really good for early game content. While you can definitely get by with blue and purple items early on, these legendaries give you a nice power boost. The Aegon's Dream assault rifle is probably the standout here with its fire/ice elemental damage and solid performance.
The farming route does involve some running, but the respawn point makes it manageable. Remember to clear enemies for extra XP if you're on your first playthrough, but you can skip them if you're just focused on farming Horace.
That's all the drops from Horace! Hope this guide helps you farm this early-game boss effectively. Let me know in the comments if you're enjoying these early game farming guides and which of Horace's drops you're most excited to get!
