Hey vault hunters! With Borderlands 4 getting closer to launch, it’s time to dive into the Legendary Weapons and Items in Borderlands 4 discovered so far. This list is packed with returning favorites and insane new gear – and yes, the Hellwalker is back! Big thanks to the community, especially user ‘MakeYouLoad’, who compiled an amazing list. Let’s jump in!
Legendary Weapons and in Borderlands 4 : Assault Rifles
First up, assault rifles! Lucian’s Flank makes a return, similar to its Borderlands 3 version. It’s a Vladof radiation rifle with the “Trample” effect: critical hits can refill your mag. Keep shooting if you’re landing those crits! The red text? “How dare you.”
Next is the Potato Thrower, a Torgue rifle that literally shoots high-damage potatoes. With a 14-round mag, it’s as ridiculous as it sounds. Red text: “I’m a halt little potato right now.”
The Whiskey FoxTrot (a twist on Whiskey Tango Foxtrot) is a Vladof rifle with “Overdrive,” letting you switch to a secondary full-auto mag. Red text: “Who’s ready to get freakin’ perforated?”
Also watch for the Cold Shoulder (a cryo Torgue rifle referencing Home Alone) and Aegon’s Dream (a fire Vladof rifle likely tied to Game of Thrones).
Pistols: Roaches, Ricochets & Royalty
Now for pistols – and they’re wild! The Roach is a Torgue pistol that shoots eggs that hatch into attack roaches on impact (living or dead enemies). Reloading makes it shrink in your hand. Red text: “He was the radisson roach.”
The Queen’s Rest (Torgue) has a 30% chance to spawn homing sticky projectiles on damage. Red text: “I could set this world on fire and call it rain.”
The Phantom Flame (Jakobs) locks onto targets when aimed, then fires the entire mag. Perfect for critical builds. Red text: “Fan the flames.”
Other notables include the Zipper (Daedalus, with bonus crit damage from behind) and the King’s Gambit (Jakobs, makes thrown weapons ricochet).
SMGs & Shotguns: Hellfires, Plasmas & Hellwalkers
SMGs bring the heat! The Hellfire is back, but now made by Reber Ripper (not Maliwan). It has “Burning Desire” for DoT damage. Red text: “All hell can’t stop us now.”
The Plasma Coil returns too – still arguably the best SMG – with “Superheated” effect. Switch between shock and radiation.
For shotguns, the Hellwalker is back! This Jakobs shotgun still has its iconic two-round mag and doom soundtrack vibe. Red text: “Sue the slayer.” Hopefully, it can roll in elements this time!
Also check out the Slugger (Jakobs, stacking damage on kill) and the Linebacker (Torgue, with bouncing projectiles that gain damage per bounce).
Legendary Weapons and Items in Borderlands 4: Snipers, Ordinance & Beyond
Snipers include the Asher Rise (Maliwan) – critical hits apply status effects instead of extra damage. Pair with a Jakobs accessory for ricocheting crits! Red text: “How can we possibly have the slightest idea what to expect.”
The Complex Root also returns, spawning additional projectiles along its path.
Ordinance (replacing grenades/rocket launchers) has gems like the UAV (cryo grenade that calls a drone), Raven Fire (RPG with radiating explosions), and Sleepy (a literal thrown swordfish).
Plus, the Coup Ninja (Jakobs throwing knife) refunds on catch and boosts movement speed per hit. Red text: “I’ve got blade stashed in places you can’t even imagine.”
Shields, Class Mods & Enhancements: Survival & Synergy
Shields offer awesome synergies. It is a shock shield that drops overshields and reflects projectiles. Guardian Angel (Daedalus) gives a free second wind every 300 seconds – perfect for boss fights.
Class mods include Fillon True Opo (Rafa spawns grenades on action skill) and Avatar Vaccine (Backs gains damage per active elemental tune).
Finally, legendary enhancements like Boom Puppy call missile barrages on kills and boost sticky damage.
